For Professional Advisors:

  1. Self Study Courses for Continuing Professional Development. The Knowledge Bureau offers certificate courses which students may take individually or in a formal program leading to one of two designation marks, the Distinguished Financial Advisor (DFA) and the Master Financial Advisor (MFA), as a part of their continuing professional development, as required after receiving licensing or under-graduate designations like the CFP, or CGA. Six individual 30 hour courses supporting these areas of specialization are required to meet standards for designation. For more information click here
  2. Regional Workshops. Current economic, tax, estate and investment matters are discussed in Distinguished Advisor Workshops (DAW) held semi-annually in November and January in major cities throughout Canada, featuring expert faculty from the Knowledge Bureau.
  3. International Conference. The annual Distinguished Advisor Conference (DAC) held around Remembrance Day attracts top advisors from across Canada and the US to hear 15 industry-leading experts discuss the future of the financial services and how knowledge-based practices will be strategically affected by the issues.
