Evelyn is Canada’s most respected educator in tax and financial literacy and one of Canada’s most prolific financial authors. She has penned 53 books for consumers on tax and wealth management, many of them best-sellers, including her most recent, New Essential Tax Facts, How to Make the Right Tax Moves and Be Audit-Proof, Too. She has twice been named one of the Top 25 Women of Influence in Canada and was appointed by former Finance Minister Jim Flaherty to the Federal Task Force on Financial Literacy.

Susan is responsible for IFB’s advocacy, policy development, regulatory affairs and representation to government, industry and regulatory bodies. As well as providing support to IFB members with compliance tools, guidance and industry updates.
Contributing to the development of sound public policy affecting financial services, Susan is an advocate for the importance of independent financial advice; helping advisors manage changing regulatory and industry expectations.

DR. JACK MINTZ
Director and Palmer Chair in Public Policy for the University of Calgary

Dr. Mintz is currently the President’s Fellow at the University of Calgary’s School of Public Policy focusing on tax, urban and financial market regulatory policy programs. From 2006 to 2015, Dr. Mintz served as the Director and Palmer Chair in Public Policy for the University of Calgary, commencing his Chair position on January 1, 2008. He has also been a Professor of Business Economics at the Joseph L. Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.

Caroline Ouellette is a Proud Olympian and the Owner of the Caroline Ouellette Hockey Camps in Montreal, Quebec City, New Brunswick and Newfoundland. She is the Founder of the Girls Hockey Celebration, a Not for profit organization that welcomes over 1000 young female hockey players annually. She is the Assistant coach in the National Women’s team program and University Concordia and Proud mom of her young daughter Liv.

Dr. Michael Geist is a law professor at the University of Ottawa where he holds the Canada Research Chair in Internet and E-commerce Law and is a member of the Centre for Law, Technology and Society. He is a regular columnist in the Globe and Mail, the editor of several monthly technology law publications, and the author of a popular blog on Internet and intellectual property law issues. Dr. Geist serves on many boards, including Ingenium, CIRA, Internet Archive Canada, and the EFF Advisory Board.
