For DAC, tuition fees include accreditation and certification for approximately 15 CE/CPD credit hours (see below), Knowledge Journal and PowerPoints (please bring your own laptop, tablet or phone for electronic viewing), Opening reception, breakfasts, mimosa breaks, the DAC Gala Dinner and some activities as noted in Agenda.   Spousal Plan does not include CE/CPD Credits or Knowledge Journal.

Graduate Reception:  RWM™, MFA™ and DFA-Specialist™ students and grads are invited to this complimentary celebration of excellence along with their spouses during DAC.

The Business Builder Retreat qualifies for 10 Credit Hours with Knowledge Bureau.

The DAC is a great way to earn continuing education credits for designations and licensing requirements in the tax and financial services. DAC attendees will earn up to 15 CE/CPD. The conference will be assessed for Continuing Education credits when final content is determined and reviewed by the following accreditors, any changes will be announced at that time.

Employees and the Tuition Fee Amount
Attendance the Distinguished Advisor Conference™ (DAC) will qualify for the tuition amount.  Knowledge Bureau is a private, designated educational institute and our tuition fees qualify for the Tuition Fee Tax Credit if over $100.  This includes the fees for all self-study courses, and the Distinguished Advisor Conference™ (DAC).  It is an important option for the partial recovery of costs paid by employees who fund their own conference fees.   To claim the amount on your tax return, you’ll need a completed Form T2202A, which is available through the Knowledge Bureau.  Simply  Logon to the Virtual Campus and go to the Administration section for access to your Form T2202A.

Self Employed Attendees

Tuition fees for self-study courses, workshops and educational conferencing may also be tax deductible by self-employed professionals as a business expense. Your receipt for payment to Knowledge Bureau is your documentation for the expense claim. GST/HST paid is also recorded here.

Expenditures may be deductible; however, delegates should seek professional advice for their personal circumstances and to understand potential restrictions for those who are employed, or self-employed, and how to account for business vs. personal expenditures.  A maximum of two conventions per year are claimable when a business exists with a reasonable expectation of profit. Refunds – Registration Fees.  Conference registration and spousal program fees are non-refundable, except in the case of severe hardship, where a 25% non-refundable cancellation fee will apply based on the registration fee the attendee qualified for at that time of registration.  In addition, there is a 30% fee to cover the cost of all pre-arranged meals, entertainment and service fees.

Refunds – Hotel.  Hotel rooms refunds may be possible until October 31, should the hotel agree to provide this; if not, a 30% hotel room cancellation fee will be applied in these cases to cover service fees incurred by DAC organizers to negotiate this.  This includes registrations of any attendees under the “complimentary room night” onsite offer.

Penalty Credits.  Any penalty or cancellation fees may be applied for full credit to any other Knowledge Bureau program for a period of one year from date of cancellation.

Payment: Knowledge Bureau will take your payment information upon receipt of the registration form, and fees will be deducted as follows:

Registrations after September 15:  100% of registration and hotel room fees are payable.
