For nearly six decades, AGF has been providing asset management services to institutions and individuals around the globe.
AGF began as a single innovative idea: to pool the funds of Canadian investors to provide greater access to the U.S. market. The American Growth Fund, created in 1957, was the first mutual fund in Canada to invest solely in U.S. equities and its initials, AGF, became the company's namesake.
Our founders, C. Warren Goldring and Allan Manford, set out to build a company that was innovative, focused on clients and driven by superior investment management. Under the leadership of Blake Goldring, Chairman and CEO, we continue our commitment to these ideals.
AGF has been delighted to have a committed partnership with the Knowledge Bureau over the last several years. They have helped to develop a robust program around tax, retirement and estate planning, that encompasses sales tools, webcasts, and online calculators that financial advisors across the country use directly with their clients. In addition, continuing education for advisors is becoming increasingly important, especially in the face of CRM2, and the Knowledge Bureau has been providing CE credit modules, that thousands of advisors have taken advantage of through AGF. Our partnership has grown stronger, and continues to be an area of focus for AGF, especially today when proving the value of advice to clients to critical to the success of our industry.
