SESSION OVERVIEW:

In periods of high volatility, coupled with changing circumstances in the client's affairs, advisors must be proactive with their high net worth clients about the right strategies to manage risks and rewards. In this module, the advisor will discover how to have better conversations with clients about the right investment to address fears of future market volatility that affect age-related savings and withdrawal activities.

APPROACH:

It is first important to have a financial plan and/or a multi-generational wealth management plan in the case of families, and to keep an eye on tax efficiency and fee efficiency - this allows you to offset periods of volatility as a general strategy. But when it comes to making sound choices in selecting appropriate investments to mitigate market volatility, what are the right options to consider. This is particularly important as yields over the foreseeable future appear to be low.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

  • How to assist clients with keeping a realistic perspective regarding market volatility and provide an understanding of the inherent risks in the short and long term.
  • How to apply a risk-based approach to dealing with the construction of investment portfolios for different demographics.
  • Understand how different investment products perform during periods of market volatility.

LEARNING ACTIVITIES: To test the learning process, the student will answer multiple-choice questions and contemplate the role of the advisor.

* Upon completion of each course, print your certificate from the Certification tab.
