Prospecting for Growth: Finding New Clients and Building the Right Team

How do advisors grow when prospective clients are increasingly influenced by market headlines, emotional biases and financial uncertainty? At the 2026 Acuity Conference for Distinguished Advisors (DAC), April-Lynn Levitt, BCom., CFP, will explore how behavioural finance can help professionals approach prospecting differently in Prospecting: New Clients, New Team, sponsored by Gold Sponsor The Personal Coach. Register by the September 30 early-bird deadline to join us at the beautiful Delta Victoria Ocean Pointe Resort in Victoria, BC this November!

Prospecting in a Changing Environment: Prospective clients do not arrive with financial circumstances alone. “Headline risk,” existing beliefs, the tendency to follow the herd, sudden inheritances and financial stress can all influence the decisions they make. Levitt’s session will examine these emotional biases and vulnerabilities and how advisors can recognize them when developing relationships with new prospects.

Building Trust with New Clients: Understanding what drives financial behaviour can help advisors move beyond a transactional approach to prospecting. The session will explore how behavioural insights can support better conversations, establish trust and help advisors demonstrate their value to prospective clients navigating complex financial decisions.

Knowledge Bureau is pleased to recognize The Personal Coach as Gold Sponsor and sponsor of April-Lynn Levitt’s Prospecting: New Clients, New Team session at the 2026 Acuity Conference for Distinguished Advisors.
