Distinguished Designates Connect at Inaugural Event

The Society of Distinguished Designates welcomed members, graduates, and guests to its recent inaugural networking event on May 13, bringing together professionals from across the tax, accounting, wealth management, and financial services community for an evening focused on collaboration, continuing education, and the future of advisory practice.

Held at the Manitoba Club, the event centered on the theme, The Distinguished Practice Evolves: KYC, CRA and AI Agents, exploring how rapid technological change, evolving compliance obligations, and increasingly complex client needs are reshaping the advisory profession.

Attendees gathered for networking, leadership discussions, and conversations around the future of multidisciplinary advisory services, with a particular focus on how professionals can continue to evolve from transactional service providers into year-round strategic advisors.

The evening also highlighted the growing postgraduate experience available through Knowledge Bureau’s professional community, including advanced continuing education, leadership development, specialized designations, conferences, and collaborative learning opportunities.
